Llanquihue and Frutillar Tour (shared)
Description
Discover the fascinating Route of Llanquihue and Frutillar, immerse yourself in the history of charming towns, stories of hardworking German Settlers, marvel at the beauty of Lake Llanquihue and enjoy its exquisite pastries. A tour that will captivate you with its charm and invite you to live unforgettable moments.
We will begin our tour by visiting the city of Llanquihue, famous for its cured meats and the place of origin of the Maullín River, part of the old Settlers’ Route. In the city we will visit Playa Los Cisnes and the Pier, which has a lovely view of the Lake and the Volcanoes. Then we will skirt Lake Llanquihue and head to Frutillar.
We arrive at this city, a beautiful town reminiscent of Bavaria, where its first settlers came from. It emerged in 1856 as a shipping pier, soon followed by tanneries, mills, breweries, etc. We will stroll around its beautiful old German-style houses, admiring its well-kept gardens and its incomparable view of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes. Optionally, passengers can visit the German Colonial Museum which shows the life of the settlers, or enjoy a coffee with a German pastry typical of this area.
On its Waterfront we will see the Teatro del Lago where the famous “Frutillar Musical Weeks” are held annually, with attendance from around the world.
