Nordic Night
Description
Let the Patagonian night awaken your senses: glide through lenga forests on snowmobiles, feel the magical silence under the stars and delight in a gourmet dinner in the warmth of a mountain refuge.
Journey Through the Forest and Mountain Gastronomy
Nordic Night is a winter tour that takes place at 1,300 meters above sea level. Experience a night journey through the lenga forest, in a captivating setting typical of Patagonia. The last part of the evening is a complete gourmet dinner in a mountain refuge, where you can taste Patagonian flavors and excellent wines.
At a point on the ascent of Cerro Otto, our guides will be waiting for you to begin the journey on the snowmobiles. After an explanatory talk on driving and putting on helmets in our reception dome, you will begin the route through a lenga forest.
After approximately 20 minutes, you arrive at a space prepared with bonfires, cauldrons and torches where hot wine and hot chocolate are offered to warm up. Then you travel about 20 more minutes to reach our cozy mountain refuge, where our gastronomic experience begins.
After dinner, you return in vans from the same refuge to your respective accommodations.
The service has 3 stages that take place during the night:
- The Journey. Ride on snowmobiles or tracked quad bikes.
- The Bonfire. A rest in the forest
- The Gourmet Dinner. End of the evening at the Refuge
- The Journey on Snow Vehicles
It is essential to explain this part of the tour as a ride, since the aim is for it to be an activity that everyone can do, regardless of their knowledge of driving snow vehicles.
Each vehicle carries 2 passengers. In the case of odd-numbered families/groups or a single person, they can ride as passengers or as driver in the guide’s vehicle.
- The Bonfire. A rest in the forest
A stop of 15 to 20 minutes halfway through the snow-vehicle ride in the middle of a lenga forest. An ideal moment to warm up at our big bonfire, cauldrons and torches, accompanied by a good hot wine or hot chocolate.
- The Gourmet Dinner. End of the evening at the Refuge
After 1 hour you arrive at the warm Mountain Refuge-Restaurant. You will be welcomed by the staff, who will show you your places to begin the evening.
