Discover the captivating beauty of Lake Llanquihue on our exciting tour. From beautiful viewpoints to agricultural and livestock fields, you will tour the charming areas of Ensenada and the typical towns of Puerto Octay, Frutillar and Llanquihue and the imposing Osorno Volcano.

We will begin our tour by visiting the city of Llanquihue, famous for its cured meats and the place of origin of the Maullín River, part of the old Settlers’ Route. In the city we will skirt Lake Llanquihue and head to Frutillar. We will arrive at this beautiful town reminiscent of Bavaria, where its first settlers came from. It emerged in 1856 as a shipping pier, soon followed by tanneries, mills, breweries, etc. We will stroll around its beautiful old German-style houses, admiring its well-kept gardens and its incomparable view of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes.

Optionally, passengers can visit the German Colonial Museum, which shows the life of the settlers, and on its Waterfront we will see the Teatro del Lago, where the famous “Frutillar Musical Weeks” are held annually, with attendance from around the world. From here we will head to Puerto Octay, also located on the northern shore of the lake, marked by German influence and the first port of departure for agricultural products to Osorno. We will tour its old streets and Plaza de Armas.

We will head toward the area of Las Cascadas, passing beautiful panoramic views of the northern part of Lake Llanquihue, where after passing the Villa La Cascada area we will reach the road where we will begin the ascent to reach the Osorno Volcano Mountain Center, located at 1,240 meters of altitude. We will be there for about an hour, with time to enjoy the landscape, take photographs and appreciate an unrivaled view of the volcano summits with their eternal-snow glaciers, Calbuco, Lake Llanquihue and the Pacific Ocean.

Finally we head toward Puerto Varas, where we will visit lovely viewpoints from which to photograph the Lake and the Volcanoes.
